Maximize Your Dental Benefits in 2023

Many dental insurance plans are based on the calendar year. If you have dental insurance, it only makes sense to make the most of it. So, our team at Amber Hills Dental is sharing these tips to help you maximize your dental benefits in 2023!

1.  Take Advantage of Preventive Care

While there are many different types of dental plans, most cover two preventive appointments each year so you can get professional cleanings and checkups at the dentist. Preventive dental care is critical for maintaining both good overall health and oral health. These visits allow your dental team to clean your teeth and gums, identify issues before they become more complex and expensive, and give you personalized oral hygiene tips. While these appointments are typically scheduled every six months, ultimately the timeline depends on your oral health.

2.  Schedule Dental Appointments Early

Try to get your dental appointments scheduled sooner rather than later. This way, your dentist will have more openings that work with your schedule and you’ll be able to get your two visits spaced out to your benefit. Additionally, you’ll have plenty of time to get any necessary treatments to restore your oral health before the end of the year.

3.  Use Your Benefits Before They Expire

We understand that it can be easy to let dental appointments fall by the wayside. However, any covered dental benefits you don’t use will not carry over into the next year. Since we aren't even halfway through the year, there is plenty of time to maximize your dental benefits for 2023!

4.  Choose an Insurance-Friendly Dental Office

Our office is in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Delta, Cigna, Metlife, Guardian, United Concordia, and United Healthcare. Plus, we offer our own in-house alternative to dental insurance called our Amber Hills Premier Dental Savers Plan. We also accept financing through CareCredit®.
