How to Recover After Dental Implants

Dental implants are a revolutionary tooth replacement solution that is permanent, durable, and natural-looking. In this blog post, we share tips to help you have a smooth recovery after your dental implant surgery.

Take It Slow

After dental implant surgery, you should rest and take it easy. Excessive physical exertion can delay your healing. Avoid lifting, bending, and vigorous activity for several days or more! Listen to your body and make sure you are giving it the rest time it needs.

Hydrate

Hydration is key to any post-op recovery process. Drink plenty of water, which is essential for all body functions, including the healing process. Stay away from alcohol and caffeine, which can hinder your recovery.

Eat a Soft Diet

Stick to nutritious, soft foods that are easy to eat and require minimal chewing so that you don’t irritate your surgical sites. We recommend foods like banana, mashed potatoes, yogurt, smoothies, etc.

Gently Clean the Healing Areas

Rinse your mouth often with a warm salt water solution. Salt water kills bacteria in the mouth and also helps soothe the surgical site.
